Critical to this, we own and operate our flagship datacentre, Positive Park, so that we always provide joined-up services.

Read any company's website and they proclaim their "commitment" to "customer satisfaction" and the "philosophy" that underpins their business. Surely nobody is convinced by this shallow corporatese especially when the reality is alienating call-queues, indifferent "computer says no" attitudes and unresponsive support. We hate this. Our company's motto of "we're good" sums up our approach to everything we do more than any long-winded "mission statement" ever could.

We're good

 We've been doing this as long as anybody. One of our directors published the very first book introducing the UK public to the Internet back in 1993. So you won't find another hosting company with deeper roots than ours. In our time, we've helped Ricky Gervais into the record books, made sure the first London mayoral election ran without a hitch, provided interactive services for Sky, pioneered HSBC's Internet presence and worked closely with Stephen Fry in his conquering of Web 2.0.

Free as in freedom

 When we started out, many wrote-off Linux and associated software as geek toys. We, on the other hand, took this liberating and pioneering platform seriously. Since day one, we've devoted ourselves exclusively to honing our expertise with free and open technology. This means we've assembled a team deeply embedded in the very communities that produce the software our clients use every day. Our expertise goes beyond mere "certification" and tick boxes: whichever of the many free and open software applications you choose to use, there's a good chance one of our team is involved in its actual development.  We chose the name The Positive Internet Company because we are genuinely enthused by what the Internet continues to offer business and society. We are excited by using technology in ways others have yet to even imagine. We channel this excitement into providing the best hosting and management packages in the industry. We are determined that our clients never have cause to complain because bandwidth is limited or support mails are left unanswered . We are keenly aware that "getting the sale" is nowhere near sufficient in running a successful company: gaining market share is one thing; keeping it is another altogether. It is in this respect that we have an almost obsessive zeal.
