How do I change my password?
In order to change any of your passwords, you need to log into your account using SSH (secure telnet). This will place you in the Unix shell, where you can type commands directly on the server. Once logged in via SSH, you should type the following:
password
And then just follow the prompts. You will have the option to change any of your passwords - your main login password (used for SSH and FTP), your email admin password (also used for your logstats) and your MySQL database password. You will of course need to know the current password(s) in order to make these changes.
If you are unsure how to use SSH to access the Unix shell, please refer to our SSH Help Pages for instructions.
Alternatively, please log into your account management area "My Account" link from the top of this web site, and place a secure change request to us and we will make the password change on your behalf. Please specify exactly which passwords you wish to change (Mysql database, Main login, e-mail administration etc.)

How do I take credit card details securely on my web site?
If you don't have a full E-commerce web store / shopping basket setup, you can still take credit card orders on your web site, via a secure order form that sends encrypted details to you via email. Please see our credit card orders guide for further information. Please note that credit card payments are subject to PCI complaince restrictions and we would recommend a dedicated or managed server. Please contact us for more information.

How do I find out how many hits my site is getting?
Firstly you need to have asked our support team to enable site statistics on your accout. You should do this by emailing support@positive-internet.com
Once activated, you will be able to access your weekly access statistics via a password protected URL on your site. Our support team will advise when this facility is enabled for you, but usually the URL is in the format:
http://www.yourdomain.com/logstats/
Summary site statistics are generated weekly early on each Monday morning and published to your logstats directory.
The facts and figures surrounding logstats can be a little confusing at first. Fortunately, the organisation which produces our analysis system has a full set of documents describing what each statistic means, how it is derived and what its significance is. They are available at:
